Welp...this weekend, like most weekends, was a blast. McConnell's Mills...followed by a cake baking competition versus the guys...DDR...Taboo...and then a random trip to Niagara Falls and Canada with Tommy Yommy, Caleb and Ross. Despite the fact that i lost a great deal of sleep...i had a blast with those guys in the "Honesty Car".

Me, Caleb, and Tommy with the falls behind us (although you can't see them, because this was at like 4:30 in the morning) :)

Ross illegally picked a flower and tried to smuggle it across the border for me...what a sweetheart.

A sign for Niagara Falls...and a casino...actually we went in that casino to pee.

We finished off the night (morning) with breakfast at Denny's on the American side just as the sun was rising. We had the grumpiest waitress ever...and we were surrounded by a bunch of old people who apparently were headed to a metal detection convention because they all got off a bus and were carrying these giant metal detectors in with them. It was...interesting.

Slept from 9:30 am till 3 pm...set up for Greek Sing...and then we had Greek Sing...which was fun. We zetas were cute and told that we should have won the "most pep" award. Good times...but so glad it's over with.

Afterwards I stabbed chicken breasts with a fork for almost 2 hours with OB exec. Lemme tell ya...that's a thrilling saturday night!  The next day was full of similar preparations for the OB picnic in the evening. I have never seen so much food at a picnic in my life. I balled watermelons and cantelope and honeydew for hours...and i've never had so much fun...oh dear exec, how i love you guys.

Matt dealing with our leftover 23471928731287 pounds of marinated chicken.

Welp, finals are JUST around the corner...so i've gotta get in my "work groove" if you will. Boo. And after that i'll be half-way done with my college career...weird. and sad. and weird. Okay that's all folks. Have an amazing week!

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:30-31

Welp, i am most definately not in the mood to do my Microcomputer homework...so here goes a nice lil' xanga entry. Nothing much exciting is going on this week...aside from school work and 39024803242932423873898 practices for Greek Sing...so how about i talk about this past weekend. Saturday afternoon the ob exec girls decided that some "girls only" time was needed off campus...so we kidnapped Forte from skit writing with her committee, threw her in the trunk (literally), and went to Wendy's (we ate outside of course, because i wanted a picnic in a forested area). Here are some pictures...just because i feel that illustrations are essential to those visual learners out there. Actually i just don't feel like typing anymore.

Lauren, Forte and Rosie looking adorable...and p.s. we saw a groundhog in the field behind them. I really wanted to chase it, but i resisted the urge. Just so ya know.

Katie, me, and Holly...annnd the tree that looks like it's coming out of my head? That had to suffice as our "forested area".

Our attempt at a self-portrait in Wendy's. By the way, they now have vanilla flavored frosties...decent, but nothing's good as the original.

The Gala was also this past weekend ... after i decided i was healthy enough to make it...i decided to go. 1 nap, 2 dayquil, and 1 doubleshot of espresso later...i went. i don't really feel like typing any more. i'm still in a picture mood. so...here are some pictures of the Gala...

The lovely Lauren Erena and I.

Kylie's in the middle to make things symmetrical...and this caption is gay.

Meet Sam. Sam's my study buddy. Sam shaved his head. I miss his hair.

I love Laura-Kate Denny. This picture is hilarious, and p.s. my flash is way too bright.

Mitch and I...this kid's amazing...and he has red hair. You can't help but love him. :)

Rothy...my "inconvenience twin"...we like to mix things up.

LK and I decided we have a non-superficial relationship. Here's a serious picture to confirm that....(except we really don't do serious...this just looks more scary than anything).

Tommy Yimmy, Caleb Yimmy, and Pete Yimmy. *note: Yimmy is an actual person...not a sound you put at the end of someone's name.

J Breeeeese throws poultry in my hair during lunch, but we're still friends. :)

More Zetaaaas!

Chase Mebabes and I...aka POLISH blood relatives.

Well...that's about enough of that. The End.

Stop eating so many beans

Take this quiz at QuizGalaxy.com

Okay...so i could understand this one if it said "stop eating so many peas"...because, yes, i do eat a lot of peas during the course of a day (mostly when my food is from bon-appetite...cafeteria food = eating often from the salad bar). Maybe i should get a new years resolution that is a little more useful...and not so much randomly generated.

HAPPY 2006 EVERYONE!

i know...it's a miracle...i'm posting!

speaking of miracles...i hope you all have a fantastic Christmas weekend! don't forget what we're really celebrating.

...and now...some lovely cartoons...involving snow...which is something we definately don't have here in oklahoma...

and now...i will go sing random Christmas songs around my house; after all...the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

This holiday is so different from all others...flying home to a home that I've never seen before...in a state that I've never been to before...to a family and a dog and two cats (who, p.s., have been making me sneeze like CRAZY) that I haven't seen in nearly half a year...

...yet inevitably I miss all of my friends at home...I miss snow...I miss running on backroads and hills...I miss going to Walmart and knowing over half of the people I see there...I miss sitting at Eat n' Park for hours on end trying to think of something to do...I miss riding sleds and being pulled by Dehan's jeep around snowy hills going way to fast and fearing for my life...

...but somehow, missing all of these things makes me even more thankful for them...not to mention the fact that, because I go to college in my old hometown, I will not entirely have to miss out on these things.  And...even here in Oklahoma, I have things to be thankful for.  It was 79 degrees out yesterday (perfect for a nice long run in shorts and a tank top). My family is here (along with my mom's cooking). The Macy's Day Thanksgiving parade is on T.V. even here...which is pretty much one of my favorite things (ooOoOOoo...there goes mr. potato head). Ultimately...no matter where I am...whether it be snowy Pennsylvania, sunny (and extremely flat) Oklahoma, or thousands of feet in the air flying to and from...God is there...and for that I am truly grateful.

Have a wonderful, blessed holiday everyone,

                                                                rach

...be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus...1 Thes. 5:16-18
